Klipsch Cornwall III SE Loudpeakers

$2,999.00

Since that day long ago, Klipsch has tweaked and fine-tuned their classic design to create the Heresy III. A more powerful woofer, large-magnet titanium diaphragm tweeter, and new titanium diaphragm midrange compression driver all work together to give this speaker a thoroughly up-to-date sound. Klipsch also added dual speaker inputs to allow bi-wiring or bi-amping for even greater performance levels. And they increased the Heresey’s already high-efficiency design by 3 dB to an impressive 99 dB — making them an excellent choice for low- and medium-powered tube amps.

Just about the only thing that hasn’t changed is the quality. Klipsch still makes the Heresy one at a time by hand in Hope, Arkansas. Each speaker is available in a beautiful Cherry, Walnut, or Black Ash lacquered wood veneer finish, and includes an angled riser base for floor placement that can be removed for custom installations

Description
  • CALIFORNIA BLACK WALNUT

Klipsch is happy to announce the Klipsch Cornwall III SE a special edition production run of the Cornwall in exotic California Black Walnut. This beautiful hardwood is harvested along the west coast of the United States and is a mixture of wood species created by grafting English Walnut and native California Walnut. The heartwood can range from a pale brown to dark chocolate brown, with darker brown streaks. California Black Walnut may have a colorful, streaked appearance which is sometimes referred to as “marbled Claro walnut.” The wood can occasionally also be found with figured grain patterns such as curly, crotch, and burl.

    MADE IN AMERICA: HOPE, ARKANSAS

Like all Klipsch Heritage speakers, the Cornwall III is a lifetime investment. Built to the strictest Klipsch standards, these speakers offer years of gratifying performance. Remember great sound? We do, too. The Klipsch Cornwall III SE is still made in the USA, by proud craftsmen in Hope, Arkansas. Just like Paul W. Klipsch (PWK) intended.

    SPECIAL EDITION

This production run is limited to about 70 pairs of speakers, but future production runs are possible. Each loudspeaker will feature a small edition plaque that is hand-signed by the craftsman.

    THREE-WAY LOUDSPEAKER

First introduced in 1959, the Cornwall III is a three-way design using horn-loaded compression drivers for the midrange and tweeter and a direct-radiating 15-inch woofer for the low frequencies. The Klipsch Cornwall III SE is an excellent combination of wide frequency response, low distortion, and high power output. Within the Heritage series, only the legendary Klipschorn offers more extended bass response.

    VINTAGE NAMEPLATE AND GRILLE

Each pair of Cornwalls features “script” style nameplates mounted to a vintage lambswool grille cloth.

    NEW RISER

A matte-black riser base compliments the California Black Walnut veneer.

    BOOK-MATCHED WOOD VENEER

Klipsch only uses book-matched wood veneers for the Heritage series. The veneer leaves are kept in order as they are delicately sliced from the timber and precisely arranged to provide a mirror image at the splice joint — like turning the pages of a book. This gives each speaker a more aesthetically appealing and consistent appearance that is treasured more than any other cut of wood veneer.

    MATCHED PAIRS

Each pair of Heritage Series loudspeakers is grain-matched using wood veneer panels that come from the same timber. Each cabinet is carefully matched so that each speaker in the pair is practically indistinguishable from the other. The speakers move seamlessly together through the factory. Each finished product is inspected and labeled with sequential serial numbers, ensuring that the Heritage series speakers leave the factory as a meticulously crafted set.
